Police crackdown on Camelon drivers speeding

Police will be using speed guns to crackdown on drivers going too fast down side roads.

Community officers have noted that as a result of the ongoing road works on the Glasgow Road, vehicles are cutting down side streets as a short cut to avoid the congestion.

A statement issued on behalf of the local constables said: “We are aware that vehicles using these short cuts are doing so at excessive speeds.

“As result of this we will be carrying out hand held radar in various locations in order to deter/detect the offenders.”

best thing to happen in ages but typical wait until aw the work has been done then do'it but i disagree with them telling the public as they always slow down the few days then it all kicks off again should catch them on the run should always be going at the recommended speed for side roads
